DKMS needs monetary donations to further expand its database with new donors. Over the years, we at DKMS and our DKMS Life Science Lab have managed to drastically reduce the cost of registering new donors. However, we still have to raise the money to cover the costs of registration from donations. Unfortunately, we cannot keep pushing the price down further without compromising our highest standards of quality. Our aim is to continue improving the typing profile of our donors based on the latest research findings. By doing this, we will be able to find the best blood stem cell donors for patients requiring a transplant as fast as possible.

The patient will pay for all examinations and treatments you may need before you make your donation. They will also cover the cost of any hospital visits, and reimburse you for travel expenses and any other related non-medical expenditure. Your travel to and from the hospital/collection centre will be organised by DKMS, who will also cover all other reasonable costs incurred.
